Environment & Sustainability

Adman are committed to minimising negative impacts on our Environment and promoting Sustainability.

Environment & Sustainability

Worldwide consumption and production — a driving force of the global economy — rest on the use of the natural environment and resources in a way that continues to have destructive impacts on the planet.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) levels and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere risen to record levels, while human activity continues to impact the earth’s surface, squeezing wildlife and nature into an ever-smaller corner of the planet.

As a responsible contractor, we have established an Environmental Management System (EMS) which is accredited to ISO 14001:2015 and which specifically serves to address UN Sustainable Goals No. 12 ‘Sustainable Consumption & Production’, No.13 ‘Climate Action’ and No. 15 ‘Biodiversity, Forests & Desertification’.

We are committed to exceptional standards of environmental performance, employing best practice and consistently identifying innovative opportunities to continually improve.

As a business we focus on the environmental and social elements of our work while interacting with statutory bodies (e.g., Northern Ireland Environment Agency and DfI Rivers) to ensure that the activities we perform do not adversely impact but protect our vulnerable habitats by establishing comprehensive, effective and equitably managed systems of works.

In addition to initiatives to address energy use and carbon emissions, we concentrate on resource efficiency, delivering a reduction in waste generated by our activities and diverting waste from landfill. By concentrating on construction processes to deliver the best sustainability, we plan our resource efficiency with consideration of the entire life cycle of our economic activities. Adman actively work with supply chains to find innovative solutions that enable sustainable consumption and construction patterns.
